![]() ![]() We are happy to announce SAP Business Client 7.70, launched together with SAP GUI for Windows 7.70. Both controls, Cef and Edge are based on Chromium. In SAP GUI for Windows 7.70 the default setting remains to be “Internet Explorer” while as of SAP GUI for Windows 8.00 the default is changed to “Edge (based on Chromium)” to reflect the changed support status of Internet Explorer and the expectation of most SAP GUI users.Latest Update January 2022: With the next release of SAP Business Client 8.0 the open source version of Google Chrome (Cef Chromium Embedded Framework) will be replaced by Microsoft Edge. In this scenario only a single browser is used (Edge).
